Divorce with dignity - Mum's the Word Book Launch
Join Tanya Lavan as she helps launch this compelling book, confronting the impact of parental alienation during family separations
Parental alienation often has serious and lasting impact on the children of separating families.
Mum's the Word brings together five mums, one brave teenage boy, an ex Chief Justice, a family law expert and a trauma specialist to create a handbook for separating families. Parental alienation doesn't just affect mums, dads and kids but can include friends, family friends, grandparents, neighbours and related members of the community. This book is an excellent resource for all persons affected.
Each of the mums stories typifies the issues families endure while navigating our family law system, including family violence, parental alienation, mental illness, court proceedings and the dysfunctional communication between state and federal jurisdictions.
Mum's the Word offers alternative solutions to going to court and guidance to mentally and legally navigate the family law system and encourages readers to connect with other people in similar situations. It also provides links to nationwide resources for both legal and mental health needs. The book is designed to give separating families the tools they need to make healthier decisions for themselves and for the future of their children.
Tanya Lavan would like to invite you to the launch of this insightful resource, and will be appearing as a special guest speaker.
